It gives us great pleasure to extend a céad míle fáilte to all parents, teachers, pupils, past pupils and the members of the wider community to our school’s website. We hope that you will gain a valuable insight into the life of our school.
At Our Lady’s Secondary School, under the trusteeship of CEIST, we offer a holistic education where we encourage academic excellence by creating an environment where learning is encouraged and fostered. The school provides a diverse range of educational experiences that are both challenging and fulfilling for students. Teachers are encouraged to adopt a student-centered approach to education which ensures that each individual student’s needs are catered for in the school.
We firmly believe that the students of Erris are fully deserving of the best where with our state of the art facilities, highly enthusiastic and committed staff we strive to enable students to achieve the full potential of their talents.
A key feature of our school is our inclusivity as we constantly endeavour to create a caring atmosphere where respect, honesty, justice, and kindness are central to what we do. A great emphasis is placed on the wellbeing of our students by supporting them in mainstream or our A.S.D. class. A wide range of extra-curricular activities in which all students are encouraged to participate is provided. We encourage each student to develop their gifts and talents towards growing and becoming a responsible adult in this ever-changing and challenging environment.
As a proud past pupil of Our Lady’s, and an Erris native, I look forward to working with you and your child in helping them to develop and to achieve their potential. I also look forward to meeting you when you visit our school whether it is at an Open Night, during public events or at our Information Evenings.
