PRIZEGIVING 2O26
Annual Prizegiving Ceremony
The Annual Prizegiving Ceremony is one of the most important events in the OLSS calendar. It is held every year to recognise and celebrate the achievements of students in academics, sports, and other extracurricular activities.
The ceremony is usually attended by students and teachers. During the event, prizes and certificates are awarded to students who have shown outstanding performance and dedication throughout the year.
The prizegiving ceremony not only rewards success but also motivates all students to work hard and achieve their goals. It is a proud and memorable occasion for the entire school community.
This year was extra special as we got to welcome the family of our dear past colleague Rob Turner RIP, who presented a memorial cup in Rob’s honour, to Danny Maloney. This special award recognises the values and traits that Rob himself embodied in his time in OLSS, and Danny was a very worthy recipient.
Other significant awards included the CEIST award going to Pawel Bugalski; the Peer appreciation award going to John Conway & Leah Tighe; the Bí Cinéalta award going to pierce Lally; and finally, the highly anticipated student of the year award going to Gavin Mc Andrew, a very worthy candidate indeed.
Well done to all the students and staff who have worked so hard both in and out of the classroom this year.
