Transition Year Visit to Oweninny Wind Farm
Our Transition Year students recently visited Oweninny Wind Farm as part of the Working in the Wind programme. The visit provided an insightful look into renewable energy, sustainability, and careers in the wind energy sector.
Students also enjoyed a 5km walk around the stunning natural surroundings of the wind farm, combining learning with wellbeing.
A special highlight of the day was meeting past pupil Brian Murphy, who is now running his own successful catering business. It was inspiring for students to see a former student thriving in entrepreneurship!
Thank you sincerely to Kathy Rowland and her team @Oweninny Windfarm for organizing this event, Mrs Hough, Ms Hurst, Cora and Amanda for accompanying the students.
