Student council attend Mayo advocacy film

Members of our Student Council and Coiste na nDaltaí were delighted to attend Áras Inis Gluaire, today to watch the premiere of a film called ‘IT and Me’ by the Mayo Self Advocacy Group. Our students were so impressed with all of the film stars, especially local man Michael Sayers from Belmullet’s Western Care Association. Inclusivity is something our school prides itself on and our Student Council representatives continuously work to make sure that all students’ voices are heard.

We know that this film will inspire them as they continue to work in this area and to support all students to be able to advocate for themselves. Congratulations to both the Belmullet and Mayo Advocacy Groups on this wonderful achievement. We would especially like to wish Michael and the group the very best of luck in their upcoming trips to Dáil Éireann and the European Parliament next year.
